Our Mission

Being a 3-time cancer survivor myself,
I know the toll that constant hospital visits, chemo treatments, and sickness took
on me as a full-grown man. But walking into MD Anderson and seeing children
fighting the same fight that I was fighting was heartbreaking to say the least.
You can’t motivate a child the same way an adult is motivated. They don’t have kids
to raise, homes to take care of, or bills to pay. So, I thought to myself- what
can we do that can help motivate a child to fight even just one more day? We
decided that we would focus our efforts on the mental, emotional, and motivational
part of fighting childhood illness. Christmas is a hard time for the parents of
sick kids- a lot of times money is tight, and their family is not able to be in
their own homes because the child is too sick to leave the hospital. So, we
made it our mission to bring Christmas to them! And from there, we created
Zach Rushing Foundation Inc. and our first annual “Christmas for the Kids” event
was held in 2019.

The idea behind “Christmas for the
Kids” was to raise money for toys that we could deliver to the children who were
hospitalized during the holidays. Through multiple fundraising efforts through my
outdoor company Bass, Bucks, and Birds (AKA Triple B Outdoors), we are proud to
say that we have been able to grow the number of toys delivered each year by
leaps and bounds! From our “30 Guns in 30 Days” fundraiser to our local “Christmas
for the Kids Drawdown” that we’ve held for the last 5 years, we have been able
to bless so many kids and their families during the Christmas holidays, and it
would not be possible without all the people who support me, Triple B Outdoors,
and this cause that we’ve made our mission. So here’s a big thank you to YOU to
anyone who has ever donated, shared one of my videos, bought an item from my outdoor
brand, or sent us toys for the kids. We genuinely couldn’t do it without you.

If you know me, you know another cause near and dear to my heart is supporting the
men and women who have fought for our freedom, that we as a nation have since tossed
aside. “Feeding Homeless Veterans” is our second big cause- so much so, that
I decided that when I started Triple B Outdoors, that a portion of every purchase made from
my brand would help feed a veteran. Because of our awesome customers at Triple
B who took part in every crazy t-shirt sale, to making donations, or sending
supplies- we have been able to partner with local VAs and help bless their food
pantry to thank them for their service. As we grow, we continue to strive to
keep blessing these vets and these children in any way possible. Thank you for
joining us on this amazing journey!
